Letters written by Francis Marion during the American Revolutionary War, 1780-1781. Includes a report from Bacon Bridge regarding injuries and casualties, orders to Lt. Taylor about gathering intelligence and traveling to Dorchester, orders to confiscate property from Loyalists, a report in which Muller is transferred the returns of the regiments of four colonels, another discussion of the returns, with Marion reporting he could find no error in the paperwork, more orders regarding commissions--Col. Henry is to be sent 60 apiece and the rest get 40-- and a roll of Samuel Benton's Regiment by rank
