I wrote you the 6th and 15th ultamo. acquainting your Excellency with the state of matters in those parts of the state, as nearly as I could- their has been no disturbance since the Inhabitants on the Frounteer appear to be perfectly satisfied since attention is paid to their security in case of an attack being made- which I Trust will be prevented- the inhabitants in Greenvelle County have chose their officers- which are commissioned- and I believe much to the satisfaction of the people, those likewies on the south of Saludy River above the antient boundary line have elected their captains and subbaltern officers, and I allowed those to elect on Major to be under the command of Col: Anderson- I have directed Col Anderson and Lieut. Col. Wood of Greenvelle County Ragement to have an exact Return made to them of all the men liable to doe militia duty within their Respective Ragets.- and Return a certified coppy of the same tome as soon as possible, which I will transmit to your Excellency as soon as I can obtain it- they are likewies directed to draft their Ragements on the shortest notice- you will pleas to send forty or fifty Blank Commissions- as it will take nearly that

number to commission the officers in the lower devition of Col Anderson Ragt: and a few in the upper part that their was not commissions for- I have the Honour to be-
