4 Mile Tavern
Back of photograph: "(c) Henry P. Staats / 4 Mile Tavern / Chas. Meeting St. Extension" Very little is known about this building called the Four Mile Tavern other than what is captured in this photograph. The two-story home is built over a high basement with a large porch and an addition on one side. Meeting Street Extension is still located on the peninsula, but is quite close to the North Charleston city limits.
