Head Quarters the 7th July 1777

A General Court Martial, is to sit on Wednesday, between the Hours prescribed by the Honble. the Continental Congress, at some convenient place in Charles Town. For the Tryal of Col. Owen Roberts, of the Corps of Artillery, put under an Arrest by Brigadier Generl. Moultrie, and charged with quitting his Post, & being too frequently in Town, without leave of the Commander in Chief or the Commanding officer of the Brigade to which he belongs
and also for having observed, that an order [illegible] by Generl. Moultrie ever unprecedented & un Gentleman like.

Of this Court Brigadier Genrl. Gadsen is to be President, the other Members are to be taken from the 1st, 2nd, 4th & 5th Regiments, each Corps to furnish a Field officer and two Captns., who are to be taken according to Detach. Brigadier Generl. will transmit this order to the Out Posts & serve Col. Roberts with a Copy of it.

The Adjunt. General is, as immediately as possible, to be furnished by the Commanding Officers of every Corps, with an Exact List of the Commissions Officers of their respective Corps, and the Manner in which they stand for General Duty that a proper Roster may be made out.
