Description

Early 19th century cound original plans of the architect Robert Mills entitled "Designs for an Episcopal Church to be erected on Johns Island near Charleston S.C." Includes 6 watercolors of the facade, floor plan, north and south elevations, longitudinal section, east section, with pulpit, and west section. Contains also a detailed "Bill of Particulars for the Workmen" - laborers, brick layers, carpenters, slater, coppersmith, joiner, plasterer and stucco plasterer.

Clipping included, a descriptive article by Samuel Lapham from the Architectural Record (March 1923).
